The Coocoose story
One of the things I was most nervous about in those early weeks was bath time. Juggling washing, entertaining and soothing Oscar all at once was daunting and often a struggle.
Between getting him out of the water, wrapping him in a towel and drying him while keeping him warm and calm, I was ending up a nervous wreck.
One day, while my mum was helping me bathe Oscar, she remembered that her own mother had used a bathing apron; a towel that hung around her neck leaving her hands free.
I talked about the idea with my friend Clare and how the apron has always been seen as quite old fashioned. We believe that with a modern design, the apron is now something we should be celebrating. The apron is back and our partners love it too!
Together we designed an up to date version using luxuriously soft towelling and easy release poppers. Both our babies loved it and when we asked a few friends to try it too, they all wanted to know where they could buy one. And so the Coocoose® was born.
